Yes, Ive admitted it straight off, I can't draw, paint etc as I do not have a creative bone in my body. I can use coloured pencils to colour but even then I generally follow colour alongs because I lack the confidence and creativity to produce good pictures. With that being said I stumbled across Peteโs YouTube a few weeks ago and I was in awe of the art but it was the banter that has kept me going back to watch other videos. In fact, I now have some Rosa Gallery paints and at the moment just some Winsor & Newton pulp watercolour paper to practice on. I cannot draw, have no artistic vision but watching the paints run into each other on-screen fascinates me. If I ever put brush to paper to learn how to use one ๐ Im going to get a Meedem block to continue to practice on. I just need to find a cheaper sketchbook to practice. Needless to say, Im here for advice, help and to learn from people

Hi Claire, welcome to the community! Some of my favorite art time is just watching what paint does on a page. It is hard to say which will be right for you as there are so many different types. If you like a lot of water and enjoy just putting paint into paint to watch it dance then I would stick with a 100% cotton sketchbook. There are others that will work for art but it's best not to get something that will not work the way you are experimenting. No need to be frustrated. I would look at a smaller sketchbook which would help on cost. I have had some success with Etchr, Hahnemuehle, and Paul Rubens makes a decent 100% cotton sketchbook as well that is less expensive. I hope you keep playing and enjoying art. ๐
