A few days ago, I decided to try abstract watercolor painting. I was unhappy with the previous direction my watercolor was going, and I was inspired by some of Pete's watercolor paintings. I decided to paint random shapes on a background, focusing on the placement and contrast of the blobs. The main thing I enjoyed about abstract painting is that it did not trigger my perfectionism, so I enjoyed the process without fear of messing up. I plan to incorporate abstraction into my future art styles.

That is what I love about it. I try my best to be as perfect as I can with everything else in my life but this gives me the freedom to let go and just do something. 👍🏻
