When I read your intro a while back, I thought you meant you had a Romantic name and wondered if you went on a lot of dating sites. I just reread it today and realize you separated Romantic writing and Fiction…which confuses me more, haha. Anyway..Welcome.

I have always loved Children books too. I think there is a lot more freedom there then in conventional art.

I love David Hockney. And I did love Lucien Freud but forget about him, he’s dead. An artist named Takashi Murakami. My favorite watercolor artist is Charles Burchfield. Sorry guys, he’s dead but he painted a kind of visionary realism of, of all places, Buffalo, NY. Gonna look up all the artists mentioned!

Did you have any problems folding the arches paper? I love accordion books. There is a variation on the accordion called the meander book that is a lot of fun. How did you like the Pentalic paper?

I’ve been taking a book binding class/workshop for a few years. I like to make my own sketchbooks but there is a certain anxiety in doing this: if I make this size or if I used this paper, what about the other infinite sizes and papers? Also many many years ago (20 or 30 years?) I bought a WHOLE lot of Arches watercolor watercolor paper. It actually is hard to make a sketchbook with this paper because it’s so thick it can crack when you fold it. I do buy sketchbooks too. There is a wonderful freedom in a big fat crummy Arteza sketchbook.
