In Favorite Art Supplies
Regarding Pete's video, How I Use Composition to Create Abstract Art, and where he talks about the alcohol based markers he got from HOTU, I wanted to share my experience with similar markers.
I used them to colour in a print of one of my original drawings done with black ink. I had had it copied on thicker paper (cardstock) and, through trial and error, figured out which colours to use. The colours went easily onto the paper, though it does bleed through. I used scrap paper under it to avoid leaving marks anywhere.
I found that the ink does spread on this particular paper, but I simply applied it carefully. In the end, I loved how it all turned out. I'm also glad that I allowed some of the spaces to remain white. It was a nice contrast to the colours.
The colouring in of this drawing is a commission. I'd made enlarged prints of the original drawing. I had this image professionally framed and can hardly wait to bring it to her. <3

In Styles Of Art
My favourite way of creating art is with a fine felt tipped pen on a good sheet of paper, usually in a sketch book of some kind. I just put pen to paper and see what happens. I never know what the outcome will be, but I'm usually quite happy with the result.
Sometimes, recognizable figures, or shapes, show up as I'm drawing. I just go with it!

In Welcome!
Hello all! Though not always in creative mode, I'm always an artist and inspirational moments in life stick to the back of my mind waiting to take shape when I am ready to take pen to paper once more.
I would say that I'm dormant. If you're not in creative mode, what name do you give that phase?
